Travelling across a third of the world’s surface for charity … in an ambulance

Under the Fog - ambulance arrivesjag pr is thrilled to be providing pro bono PR support to a team of university students (they go by the name of Under the Fog) who are taking part in the 2011 Mongol Rally.

The Mongol Rally is a charity rally starting in Goodwood and finishing approximately five weeks later in Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), this will involve them driving through 15 countries and covering around 10,000 miles….and all in an old ambulance!

The purpose of this event is to raise money for the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) and they aim to raise in excess of £2000 to help children in Mongolia. Once they get to Mongolia they will be donating their vehicle and equipment for use in the country, or it will be auctioned off with the proceeds helping to fund projects in Mongolia.

Under the Fog team said to jag: “All of us know how much of an incredible experience we are going to get from this rally and so we want to make sure we give as much back as we can in return. We want to donate a vehicle to Mongolia and rather than just taking any appropriate vehicle for auctioning in Ulaanbaatar we wanted to take a vehicle with a longer lasting value to Mongolia. Our vehicle of choice is an ex-service ambulance that can be used to provide medical assistance in the local community.”

Under the Fog is looking for corporate sponsorship from local companies in the Horsham area either in the form of a monetary donation or through donating products or service. Can you help?

They need this sponsorship to help with the costs of the vehicle and the cost of getting it to Mongolia including petrol, spare parts, batteries, tires etc. The sponsorship is to be a vital part to their success in donating the ambulance to Mongolia.

Under the Fog would be “massively grateful” for any contributions and in return they will promote all sponsoring companies in any media activity and your logo will also go on the side of the ambulance.
