NHS Direct issued a press release about the Media Guardian Award for HPV ‘virtual surgery’ on Habbo Hotel. This project, commissioned by the Department of Health, involved a number of agencies of which NHS Direct was one. The most recent national, regional and trade coverage focussed on the early outbreak of colds, flu and the winter vomiting bug and the effect on calls. The coverage also highlighted the organisation's online Symptom Checker.
