FESH hogs the limelight on Charity Matters website

Friends of East Sussex Hospices (FESH) is delighted to have been chosen as the Charity of the Week on the national website www.charitymatters.org.uk from December 4-9, 2011.

FESH is a registered charity raising awareness and funds for nine local hospices – all nine serve East Sussex and include three specialising in support for children.

Kathy Gore, chair of FESH, said: “Our hospices provide specialist end-of-life care to patients and their families both in hospice in-patient units and in their own homes, free of cost. This remarkable personal service is not a part of the NHS and relies on raising millions of pounds every year.

“We would publicly like to thank Charity Matters for helping raise awareness of our fundraising efforts and in turn draw attention to the work of these nine local hospices.”
