Brief:
The London-based barristers needed to place an announcement in key legal target publications. Nevertheless, during the initial in-depth brief, jag press & publicity ‘unearthed’ many new angles which enabled it to expand the initial brief significantly.
Objectives:
- Begin to create a profile for 1 Garden Court in the professional press
- Announce a change at the head of the chambers
- Start to create a profile for the new joint head of chambers and the legal issues affecting the sector
PR Strategy:
Target professional legal magazines and The Times Legal supplement. Establish long-term relationships with key legal magazines.
Plan:
Issue a release announcing the ‘standing down’ of the joint head of chambers and announcing her replacement
Set up interviews for both. Target The Times Legal supplement with a more wide reaching story.
Measurement and evaluation:
The Times Law supplement ran a ‘trading places piece in a March supplement and a whole page feature on the opening page of a May supplement. Articles appeared in key legal magazines
Results:
1 Garden Court is now known to the key legal magazines and has an ongoing relationship with them.
